1 - Online Application Form
The application form must be filled out on line by the student for all types of registration (i.e. Intensive Program, Semester Exchange and Housing) accessing the following link:
It is very important that you inform in all documents a valid /updated e-mail address because it will be our main communication channel.

After you have filled out the on line application form for the Intensive Portuguese Program and/or the Regular Exchange Program, please make sure to send the following required documents:
Required documents for:
- EXCHANGE STUDENTS
- 01 photo (3 x 4 cm size)
- Official Transcript
- International Office nomination letter.
- A copy of students passport (main page) MANDATORY
- Personal Statement (introduce yourself and why you would like to study at PUC-Rio).
- Copy of health insurance with company name and policy number. Send us by e-mail (scanned) the proof of your International Health Insurance Coverage for the entire duration of your stay in Brazil. Please include the insurance company’s name, policy number, dates of coverage and company contact information (this document must be sent until the deadline).
- Covid-19 Certificate of vaccination
- Yellow fever immunization - At least 10 days before the trip when the vaccine starts doing effect. International students use to travel to other cities while are in the program so we strongly recommend exchange students to take the yellow fever vaccine, if they are not immunized yet. Please send us the certificate of it.
- A wire transfer sent to Faculdades Católicas referring to the participation on the Pre-Term Portuguese as a Second Language Intensive course (if it is the case) and the administrative cost payment.

In case you have already done the payment do not forget to send us a copy of the payment receipt. Otherwise you will be charged upon arrival.

- INTERNSHIP/RESEARCH STUDENTS:
- Deadlines: Fall semester-May 15th and Spring semester – October 15th
- Documents:
- The international students must complete the online form and submit all documentation required as follow: Online form: http://www.puc-rio.br/ensinopesq/ccci/incoming/forms-hp_students.html - students must fill out the online forms with the “status estagio”. And send the documents to CCCI Office. Interns will be registered as an internship/research student in our system.
- Documents: copy of passport, resume, photo, and letter from the home university stating that the student is authorized to participate in an internship (this is not mandatory for all because the student can come on their own).

All documents MUST arrive by e-mail to the International office by the above stated deadlines. Incomplete and/or late applications WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Please note that all students must take the ONLINE Portuguese Placement Pre-test. Students accepted to study at PUC will receive, in a timely fashion, an e-mail message informing them when the placement test will be available online
