Shareware
Shareware is a term used for copyrighted texts, programs, or other types of
application files sold on a try-before-you-buy basis. If you continue to use
the item past a certain evaluation period, you must pay the author a
designated "registration fee." Therefore, it has also often been referred to
as "user-supported."

distributed as shareware.
