Tickets

• Permanent collections: FF 45 until 3 p.m., FF 26 after 3 p.m. and on Sundays all day.
  Free on the first Sunday of each month.

• Temporary exhibitions in the hall Napoléon: FF 30.

• Joint museum/exhibitions ticket: FF 60 until 3 p.m., FF 40 after 3 p.m. and on Sundays all day.

• Free for persons under 18 years.

• Tickets valid all day, re-entry allowed.

Advance Ticket Sales
To avoid queueing at the ticket booths or in front of the pyramid, it is possible to buy your ticket in advance for the Louvre Museum and its temporary exhibitions. These tickets are valid until the 31st of January of the following year. There are three possible procedures :

• you can buy your ticket in one of the 45 French FNAC department stores in France, Belgium or the Netherlands, phone (33) 01 49 87 54 54 (maximum 19 tickets at once).

• in France you can use the Minitel, code 3615 Louvre (maximum 19 tickets at once).

• at "Musée & Compagnie", 49 rue Etienne Marcel, 75001 Paris, tel (33) 01 40 13 49 13, you can buy minimum 20 tickets (reduction for over 100 tickets).

Those holding tickets can enter the Louvre Museum without waiting, by the special entrance in the passage Richelieu (between the Place du Palais Royal and the Cour Napoléon), and then proceed directly to the checkpoint at the entrance of the collections.

"Louvre Jeunes" Membership Card

The Louvre offers an annual card for young people under 26 years and the adults accompanying them. This "Carte Louvre jeunes" provides free access to the permanent collections and the temporary exhibitions and reduced rates for films, concerts, conferences, workshops and the bookshop...

Price:

• individual membership: FF 100

• membership via a correspondent on behalf of at least 10 applications: FF 60 (FF 40 for art students and persons under 18 years).

"Amis du Louvre" Membership Card

Membership of the Friends of the Louvre, "Société des Amis du Louvre", provides free access to the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions and offers sizeable reductions at the Louvre Auditorium, in the bookshop and the restaurants in the museum. Members receive the museum programmes and the Amis du Louvre newsletter through the post.
Individual membership (12 months) costs between FF 300 and FF 4,000, and groups are offered preferential rates from FF 220.

Museum Pass

The Museum Pass ("Carte Musées et Monuments") provides free access, without waiting, to the permanent collections of 65 museums and monuments, one of which is the Louvre museum. Valid for 1 day (FF 70), 3 days (FF 140) or 5 days (FF 200).
It is on sale under the pyramid, in the shopping area Carrousel du Louvre, in the other museums and monuments concerned, in all main metro stations and at the Paris tourist information office.
