Museum Opening Hours
- The Louvre Museum is open every day except Tuesdays. It is also closed on
the following public holidays: in 1996, 25th of December. In 1997, the 1st of
January, the 30st of March, the 1st of May, the 18th of May, the 11th of
November and the 25th of December. On all other public holidays the museum is
open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Permanent collections: from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., evening opening hours until
9.45 p.m. on Mondays ("short
tour", see "Réaménagement des nocturnes du lundi")
and Wednesdays (the entire museum).
- Sale of tickets ends at 5.15 p.m. or 9.15 p.m.
- Galleries start closing at 5.30 p.m. or 9.30 p.m.
- Hall Napoléon, under the pyramid, is open every day, except
Tuesdays, until 10 p.m.
- Medieval Louvre and History of the Louvre: from 9 a.m. to 9.45 p.m.
- Temporary exhibitions under the pyramid: from 10 a.m. to 9.45 p.m.
