This fee includes the following services offered to international students: airport pick-up, assistance at the Federal Police (Immigration) registration, welcome lunch, tourist/cultural activities, city tour of Rio de Janeiro, field trip, and a farewell cocktail with live Brazilian music.

Exchange Students:
A R$ 350,00 registration fee will be charged prior to arrival.

Special Students:
A R$ 650,00 registration fee will be charged prior to arrival.

Method of Payment:
The fees must be paid in Reais (R$).

Refunds will be issued only up to one month prior to the course start date. In case of reimbursement: operational costs related to acceptance and cancelation processes and to bank transaction fees will be deducted from the total amount refunded.

Exchange Students:
A  R$ 170,00 registration fee will be charged if students decide to study at PUC-Rio the following semester. Exchange Students are entitled to attend courses at PUC-Rio up to two regular terms plus the Pre-Term Portuguese as a Second Language Intensive Course.

Special Students:
A  R$ 350,00 registration fee will be charged if students decide to study at PUC-Rio the following semester.

Method of Payment:
The fees must be paid in Reais (R$).

Exchange Students:
Exchange students do not pay tuition, except those who come after balance is closed. In the case that there is an unequal number of exchange students between PUC-Rio and the International Partner University, the registration fee charged will be R$ 650,00 (Reais) as the student will be registered as a special student.

The fees must be paid in Reais (R$), according to the dollar rate of the day.

Special Students:
The academic tuition will be charged according to the number of credits taken in each term. In Brazil, the yearly tuition is divided into 12 monthly payments. The semester (term) tuition is divided into 6 monthly installments for regular students. Thus, in our first term of the year (late February/early March to late June/early July), students make 6 payments: in January, February, March, April and June. The same happens in the second term, with payments in July, August, September, October and December.

It is divided differently for international students, based on the date of arrival. Because international exchange and special students arrive at the university during the second month of the semester, the semester tuition will be divided into 4 installments (March, April, May, June). THE FIRST TWO INSTALLMENTS EQUAL the sum of 2 monthly tuition payments. In the case of late registration, then the total amount is divided into 3 monthly payments (April, May, June).

All international, non-degree-seeking students are part of the Center of Theology and Human Sciences (CTCH) due to their mandatory attendance in Portuguese classes. For example: If the student registered online for 16 credits, he will pay for 16 credits. According to PUC's table of values, in 2010 CTCH regular students must pay the total tuition of R$ 12.906,00 per term or R$ 2.151,00per month over 6 months for 16 credits. In the case of an international student who arrives ON TIME for classes in late February/early March or August, he/she will pay for 32 credits in the first and second monthly installments and for 16 credits in the third and fourth installments.

In case the student wants to cancel any class, the reimbursement will only appear in the next month's installment.

If the student Add more classes during the Drop & Add period the tuition amount will change too.

Ex: Before the Drop & Add the students had chosen 20 credits and during the Drop & add added one sport class of (2 credits). His/her tuition will change from 20 credits to 22 credits; consequently, the difference of this 2 credits will appear in the others installments
